For my birthday we spent our last morning with Stephanie Bahr's kids, beginning the day with Baked Oatmeal (which I love!) and passing time cracking nuts with the kids.
Joan made tacos for lunch at my request and a delicious jello cake. And yes, I did accept my first mordida, even though Joan was willing to exempt me, as the little kids were too excited to disappoint! Thankfully they were nice...and I couldn't bend very far so I avoided the nose & full face of frosting--and I didn't have enough on my face to give my husband a sticky kiss! Maybe next year... :)
In the afternoon we relaxed with a Jane Austen movie (thanks Katie & Lily) and he took me on a date to Ladu (thanks Keith & Emily for the recommendation). It was a fun day!
